The 84th Annual Putnam Competition was held on December 2, 2023. Atharva Pathak ’26 and the Princeton University team both received an honorable mention this year. The team members were Benjamin Lemkin ‘26, Austen Mazenko ‘24, and Atharva Pathak ’26.
The Putnam began in 1938 as a competition between mathematics departments at colleges and universities. Now, the competition has grown to be the leading university-level mathematics examination in the world.
