An important problem is to understand the metric geometry of singular Kahler-Einstein spaces. The RCD property is a notion of Ricci curvature lower bound for metric measure spaces, that has been extensively studied recently. I will discuss settings when the RCD condition holds for singular Kahler-Einstein spaces, as well as some applications.
