This is a more technical and expanded version of yesterdays colloquium talk.  We will begin by reviewing some of the same constructions, but from a slightly different and more general point of view.  We will then sketch the topology and geometry of the construction, including those involved with the mapping class group of S3xS3 and the asymptotic cone behaviors of the example.
